
Leadership Team
FCC Kokomo is a staff led, elder protected church family. This means that the staff are entrusted to facilitate the overall vision of the church on a day-to-day basis, while a plurality of elders oversee the vision and spiritual well-being of the whole church body.

Lead Pastor
​Kyle began his service at FCC Kokomo in March of 2025. He and his wife graduated from Central Christain College of the Bible in 2014. Kyle went on to complete an MA of Christian Ministry from Bryan College in 2020. The Arnold’s spent the first decade of their life together serving in places such as Russia, India and Azerbaijan. Since then, they have traveled all over the country accepting various ministry assignments helping dying or struggling churches experience turnaround. In 2022 they welcomed their first child (Esther Grace) into the fold, and then in 2024 Elijah joined the party. Kyle was born and raised a Hoosier, and the Arnold’s are grateful to be back closer to home for this season of life and ministry. They are excited about the future of FCC Kokomo and the ways that God wants to move through His local bride.

Operations Pastor
​Jaret came onto staff in June of 2025 after serving in various ministry capacities in churches in Illinois, Indiana, and Florida. He attended Moody Bible Institute and Liberty University, and has a background in hospital administration in addition to ministry. As someone with previous Lead Pastor experience, he helps manage the day-to-day operations of the church while also developing the church-wide serve teams. He and his wife Jody have two daughters, one whom is recently married, and the other that lives in Illinois. They are happy to be back in the Midwest after one hurricane season down in Florida. They are excited for the future of FCC Kokomo and the impact the church will have in Howard County.

Kelsey
montgomery
Ministry Resident
Kelsey has attended FCC Kokomo her whole life, and she has been a part of the worship team for a number of years. She grew up in Kokomo and graduated from Indiana University Kokomo in 2025 with a BS in General Studies, and her residency with Fairfield began shortly after. She has a passion for ministry and the local church and is thankful for the opportunity to use her gifts for God’s glory. She is excited to see where God takes her and the church in the future.

Liza
Flanary
Children's Ministry Director
​Liza grew up as a missionary kid and moved to Indiana in 1992. She received her BS in Recreation Management from Huntington University in 2000. She also married Shawn Flanary this same summer, and they have been members of Fairfield Church since then. She worked as an aide in special needs classrooms until she had Ella in 2003. She then became a part time office manager at the Howard County Tennis Center. She had their second daughter Audra in 2006 and their son Silas in 2009. Liza homeschooled the kids from 2011-2017. They then went to Eastern Schools. She went back to work as a librarian for Kokomo Schools and then received her degree in Elementary Education from Taylor University. She taught kindergarten at Kokomo for two and a half years. She now is an administrative assistant part time at Blondies Cookies while serving as the part-time children’s leader for Legacy Kids at Fairfield.

Chris

Elder

Chris and his wife, Monica, have been part of the FCC Kokomo family for nearly 20 years and are proud parents to three sons. Their family has been actively involved in various ministries, with their boys serving in kids’ programs and stepping in wherever help is needed. Since 2008, Chris has served FCC in leadership roles, first as a deacon and now as an elder. Professionally, Chris works in staffing, recruiting, and workforce management, helping businesses and employees find the right fit. A passionate Chicago Cubs and Indiana Hoosiers fan, Chris and his family enjoy traveling, hiking, time at the beach and at the ballpark - a sport that continues to be a big part of family life.

Jason
Montgomery
Elder
​
Jason and his wife, Lisa, have been part of the FCC Kokomo family since 2001 and are proud parents to two adult daughters, Kelsey and Kendall. His entire family is actively involved in the worship team. Jason, a multi-instrumentalist, contributes on bass, guitar, drums, and percussion. Since 2007, Jason has served FCC in leadership roles, first as a deacon and now as an elder. Professionally, Jason is a licensed architect and currently works in the construction industry designing custom unitized curtain wall. A passionate sports enthusiast, Jason avidly follows baseball, football, and basketball. He and his family love to travel, often exploring new camping spots, relaxing at the beach, or hiking in the mountains. They’re also avid theme park fans, with a particular fondness for Disney and Universal Studios. Jason enjoys sci-fi, action, fantasy, and superhero movies, and in quieter moments, he’s likely immersed in a Young Adult fantasy novel or enjoying a board game from his extensive collection with his family.

Shawn
Flanary
Elder
​
Shawn and his wife Liza have attended FCC since 1999. They have three children Named Ella, Audra and Silas. Shawn is a teacher and coach for Eastern Howard High School and is also the director of the Howard County Indoor Tennis Center. The Flanary's farm (raise pigs) and enjoy camping and traveling together as a family. Volleyball and tennis are also a big part of their lives. Shawn is a part of the worship team, and in addition to FCC ministry they run Show Hogs for Hunger (a ministry to HIppo Valley Christian Mission in Zimbabwe). In Shawn's spare time, he likes to play tennis, work out, hike and fish with his family.
